RM of Wilton No. 472

A partial fire ban has been implemented in the RM's of Britannia and Wilton effective 9AM, May 13, 2013. For a copy of the order click here.

All previously issued fire permits are canceled effective immediately. Only recreational and incinerator fires are permitted until further notice. These recreational and incinerator fires must be contained, supervised and fully extinguished upon completion. There is a full ban on all fireworks materials as well.

Please use extreme caution when starting any open fires, be aware of wind conditions and have means of extinguishing the fire nearby. Ensure smoking material is out and contained in a burn proof container rather than disposing on the ground or tossing out of a vehicle window.

Flooding and Closed Roads
The Municipality will be repairing the flooded closed roads as the water subsides. Please be patient as our crews are working as hard as possible to repair our damaged roads.

Road Repairs this week
The Municipality will be completing paving on Township Road 490 from Highway 17 to Marshall

-We currently have 9 graders working throughout the municipality

Ratepayer Meeting
the Ratepayer meeting has been rescheduled, the date is to be announced click here for more information.

Dust Control
The municipality will be providing calcium chloride for approximately 200 metres in front of yard sites. The municipality will be starting with the main corridors and moving to the secondary roads.

Water Wells
Water tanks tentatively scheduled to be reopened May 13, 2013. Municipal Water Well locations Nunebar, RM yard site, Landfill and Wilton Energy Park.
